Island Talks #002 – Peggy Gou
Back at Katamama to play alongside Larry Heard for Potato Head x Freedom Time, we check in with Korean selector Peggy Gou about her love for Bali, making music in her hotel suite, and her musical aspirations for 2018.
A classically trained pianist, Peggy’s transition into the world of electronic music came in London where she was balancing fashion school with an interest in DJing. She’s quickly established a place for herself at the forefront of underground electronica, releasing four EPs in 2016 and throwing down sets at highly regarded institutions like Amsterdam’s Dekmantel Festival, Manchester’s The Warehouse Project and DC10 in Ibiza. As we learn here, she has no plans of slowing down anytime soon.
