From our design to our drinks, we prefer to gather our materials from sustainable, nearby sources, revealing the best of Indonesia. Torch ginger flower, cloves, chasteberry and kaffir lime – native Balinese ingredients add punch to Akademi’s cocktails, presented in hand-crafted ceramic beakers from a neighbouring workshop. Next door, Bali’s best farm-grown vegetables and fruits add a new dimension to the iconic Spanish cuisine of our ground-floor restaurant, MoVida.
Akademi Centre of Mixology
Forward-thinking design, stacks of cocktail books, vintage vinyl and a library of home-made infusions make Akademi, Katamama’s intimate lobby bar, different from the rest. Expertly enhanced local araks, barrel-aged negronis and house-blended tinctures and syrups line the shelves. Exotic ingredients and seasonal fruits, herbs and flowers are complemented by Indonesian-inspired snacks. Created by award-winning mixologist, Dre Masso, this atmospheric space hosts international bartenders who share their stories and school Bali’s bartenders to be world class. MoVida Bar de Tapas
Ingredient-driven Spanish cuisine and forward-looking design come together in our ground-level restaurant, MoVida. Highly regarded for its eateries in Australia and best-selling cookbooks, MoVida Bali is the brand’s first international outpost. Delicately put together tapas, made-to-order paella and hearty Josper-cooked meats are paired with sangria jugs, exotic cocktails and a lengthy wine list. Matching Spain’s finest conservas and cured cold cuts with quality ingredients sourced from responsible, small-scale farmers from within our archipelago, the kitchen plates up characterful dishes breakfast through lunch and dinner.
Available anytime, our in-suite dining menu traverses the five continents, offering health-conscious salads, rich pasta plates, fragrant curries, Balinese-inspired dishes and more for you to enjoy in your suite or on your terrace. Amphitheatre-like, the ocean-facing Potato Head Beach Club is Bali’s iconic sunset venue. Known worldwide for hosting dynamic music festivals and cross-cultural events, the space is home to two restaurants, three bars, an infinity pool and an expansive lawn. Our guests receive priority daybed bookings for Potato Head, and can enter the Beach Club via an exclusive overhead walkway from Katamama.

Jakarta-founded coffee house and roastery One Fifteenth Coffee carefully selects beans from Java, Bali and beyond to ensure full-bodied, rich flavours in each cup. Out of the ordinary ingredients and tribal cooking techniques define Kaum, our authentic Indonesian eatery housed on the first floor of Potato Head Beach Club. Traditional cooking from Bali, Java, Sulawesi, Maluku and beyond have inspired much of the menu and produce is sourced from responsible, small-scale farmers from within the region. Long, communal tables are balanced with more intimate seating and meals are presented ‘family-style,’ to share in the original way of Indonesia’s villages.
